I might be getting better at this blog thing

So it has not been 9 months since my last entry, so I guess I am getting better at this stuff.  Who knew what you could get done with an empty house.  Josh is at a teacher’s retreat and the kids are with their grandparents so I have had time to do some things (or maybe just time to be lazy and eat a lot)!!!!!  Anyway, life at the Ross household is very boring, but life as a new teacher is very hectic :).  I wouldn’t have it any other way.  I am feeling a little unorganized and for those of you that really know me, I am the complete opposite, so I am going crazy right now.  So for the next week, I have meeting, cheer practice, pom practice, lesson plans, open houses, and 2 rooms to decorate.  Anyone want to help :).  Just kidding!!  I am really enjoying every minute and can’t wait to get the kids in the classroom and get the year started!!

9 months later . . .

No, I did not have another baby, but sometimes I think a baby would be easier than these past couple of months.  So, a new chapter is started in the family book.  Josh finally got a TEACHING job!!!  He is teaching Special Education (Resource) in Berryville.  Yes that is right, I said Berryville.  I guess it is a good thing that he loves to be alone for a few minutes a day, because he is going to have plenty of reflecting time during that 2 hours total on the road daily.  I am so happy for him though.  He has worked really hard for this and things are finally falling into place.  To add to his hectic year, he is still in school and will not complete his endorsement until May, so prayers are needed for his sanity!!

Josh is not the only employed person.  I will be teaching in Rogers this year.  I am teaching Career Orientation at one middle school in Rogers and Introduction to Foreign Language at another middle school in Rogers.  Of course, I can’t leave it at that.  I need some more on my plate . . . I am also the Cheer AND Pom Squad coach at one of the Middle Schools.  Yes, all of you that know me are smiling right now, because I would not be myself if I did not have many things going at once.  I am also still in school and finish my education courses in December and will continue on with my counseling courses (I still have a while for that degree).

The kiddos are hopefully not missing the parents yet :).  Holt and Caden are busy playing football.  It is extremely funny to see tiny Caden out there with all those big boys playing football.  Both boys play defense and they LOVE it!!!  Soccer is starting up for both of them next week and Baseball hopefully will get started soon for Holt.  Poor Ella just wants to be out there being the “cheerleader.”   She reminds me so much of my sister.  She loves to flip around and is honestly really good at it (at least for a 2.5 year old).  I keep telling Josh that I have to get her into gymnastics, but I just can’t even find the time to go sign her up.

So yes, 9 months has gone by since my last post and hopefully I can find a little time to post before another 9 months goes by.  In the meantime, here are some pics of the past 9 months . . .

New Beginnings . . .

So tomorrow is my last day of work and I am actually looking forward to it. I can't tell you how much of a blessing I have been given. I have been given the opportunity for a short time to spend precious time with my little kiddos and I am loving that idea. Don't get me wrong, there is a ton more on my plate. I am concentrating on school and hopefully will be able to do a little bit of substituting on my "off" days.
So for now, I am going to enjoy my last day and a half at work and look forward to new beginnings and priceless time with my family!!!

Well . . . Here goes nothing . . .

Ok, so this is my first post and I am sitting here trying to figure out what to say. I am very excited about this blog and hope to be a professional "blogger" in the near future, but for the meantime, hang in there with me.

Hmmm . . . what is happening with the Ross family . . .

Well . . . I have started a little business of hand stamping jewelry. It is going far better than I expected (those of you who know me know that I have huge ideas that usually fail when it comes to business). I have shipped off my first orders of displays and am loving each piece of jewelry that I make. My site should be up and going in the next couple of days and hopefully that will lead to a ton of orders. If anyone wants to place an order before the holiday season hits, please let me know!!!

Here is a picture of my newest creations . . . the ring. This one has my three kids' names on it.

And here is a necklace that I have made for my little guys - to remind them where their values are :). Now if only they would look at it and behave correctly. Baby steps huh??
